What I do now#

On the code side I work mostly with native PHP, MariaDB, Vue.js and Linux servers. Lately I manage codebases with AI coding agents, and I learn in the field which jobs are worth handing to an agent and which ones end up costing more. This blog itself runs on a framework-free PHP publishing platform that agents can work with.

This blog#

I have been writing field notes here since 2010. Three posts go out every week: a series chapter on Tuesday, a radar pick on Thursday (a tool or repository gaining ground that week), and a standalone technical piece on Saturday. Most posts are written in Turkish first, with an English version published alongside.

The rules I hold myself to are simple:

  • If I did not measure it, I do not say I did. If I did not try it, I do not say I did.
  • Versions, dates and numbers are checked against the primary source, and the source is linked.
  • When I write about a tool or a project, I name the people and teams behind it.
  • I compare tools; I do not advertise one.
